Consolidated Mining Corporation (“CMC“) is a Guinean-based mining company that is currently extracting, transporting and exporting metallurgical-grade bauxite from the Boké Bauxite Belt in northwest Guinea. We have also recently launched a series of new exploration programs to prospect for and develop untapped gold deposits in the country as well. CMC is wholly-owned by a group of Guinean nationals whose sole mission is to build and manage a portfolio of world-class mining operations throughout Guinea, in accordance with the industry’s highest standards and best mining practices.
Our bauxite project in the Boké region, a zone that produces some of the world’s highest-quality bauxite, consists of two mining blocks located near the well-known Boffa-Santou Houda bauxite deposit. The first block, which was developed as the joint-venture known Guinéenne des Mines ("GDM"), began shipping bauxite to China in January 2018. As a result of this effort, GDM became the first wholly Guinean-owned bauxite miner in Guinea's history to reach the exploitation stage. The second block is still in its exploration stage but is expected to come online by the end of Q2 2019.
Our gold project in the Kankan region, a zone that produces some of the world’s highest quality gold, consists of three blocks in the Siguiri Basin. This subterrain is home to the same Birimian Greenstone Belts that cut across the major gold-producing areas of Mali, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Ghana. Our team of local geologists, in collaboration with international mining consultants, is currently working to inscribe several multi-disciplinary mining studies (pre-feasibility study, feasibility study, etc.) for each of these mining blocks in the Kouroussa or Mandiana prefectures.
